The Ford Bronco now starts at $41,025 (including destination fees), as the SUV has dropped its steel-wheeled, $37,430 Base trim for the 2024 model year. The Big Bend trim now sits at the entry point of the Bronco's trim lineup, and uses its larger list of standard equipment as a tradeoff for the price increase.
The new entry-level Bronco rides on 17-inch wheels as opposed to the old 16-inch ones, and they are wrapped in 32-inch all-terrain tires. The removal of the Base trim also means that all Broncos now come standard with the larger 12-inch infotainment system, along with LED fog lights and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
According to The Drive, Ford removed the Bronco's Base trim to align with what customers truly want in their SUVs, as most buyers opted for trims equipped with the larger touchscreen. Getting rid of the lower-demand trim will also free up space at the factory for more popular Bronco models. It's the same story for the smaller Bronco Sport, which ditches its Base trim level for 2024 as well.
As for the rest of the Bronco lineup, the Badlands trim gains a standard Heavy Duty Modular Front Bumper, while the mud-loving Everglades trim continues on for the 2024 model year. At the very top of the lineup, the hardcore Bronco Raptor performance model adds new Shelter Green Metallic and Velocity Blue exterior colors, along with color-matched fenders and a new Code Orange appearance package.
