With the final example of the 300 sedan rolling of the line earlier this month, that leaves the Pacifica minivan as the only model available in Chrysler showrooms. And with the company's first EV slated to arrive in 2025, the Pacifica will have the brand hanging by a thread for a couple more years.

But to make sure that proverbial thread doesn't suddenly snap, the Pacifica will be given a second facelift around 2025. Note that the aging minivan's first refresh came in 2021, following its initial debut back in 2016.

Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell told Automotive News that the changes will be "pretty significant," making for "more than just a moderate refresh." She continued that the updated Pacifica will arrive shortly after Chrysler's first EV, which is due in 2025 as a production version of the Airflow concept. The EV won't actually bear the Airflow moniker, though, and its design will be a progression of the concept's original styling.

Feuell acknowledges that Chrysler will stand as "a one-product brand for about a year," but it doesn't seem to be much of a concern as Pacifica sales have allegedly increased in 2023. In fact, Chrysler predicts that there will still be steady demand for minivans through the next decade. After that, it appears that SUVs will claim full dominance of America's family hauler market.

The Pacifica won't be put out to pasture until 2028, which will have been 12 years after its initial launch. Chrysler plans to replace it with a fully-electric minivan, which will most likely arrive that same year.

Until the arrival of Chrysler's first EV, the Pacifica will be the brand's sole offering.
