Oh, you thought Dodge was done with its Hemi-powered muscle cars? Think again, because reports have surfaced indicating yet another special edition before the V8-powered Dodges are retired for good. But this time, it's a secret Challenger offered exclusively to the likes of Jay Leno, Michael Strahan, and Dodge's own CEO, Tim Kuniskis. It's called the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 Jailbreak, and as the name suggests, it builds on the original Demon 170 model that was supposed to close the book on the Challenger with a loud bang. As a result, this ultra-exclusive special edition still makes a ridiculous 1,025 horsepower.

The information was spilled out on the Hellcat.org forums, where forum member dgolay said that a special invite was given to around 20-25 people who had previously made notable purchases from SRT. To highlight its exclusivity, the forum member said that the Jailbreak option adds special badging and one-of-one exterior paint, with the package tacking on an extra $30,000 to the original $96,666 asking price for the Demon 170.

As for the aforementioned one-of-one paint, the forum member says that no more than 40 unique color options have been offered by Dodge. The first 20 colors are referred to as 'Heritage 1970,' while the other 20 are derived from more modern colors. To uncover more information on the Demon 170 Jailbreak, Motor1 reached out to a Dodge spokesperson, who went on to explain that when a color option is selected, it's spoken for, and is no longer available to the other exclusive buyers. As for how many of those exclusive buyers there are, Dodge refused to tell the news outlet. Here's the full email from the automaker:

"The Jailbreak 170 is a celebration of the ultimate "Last Call" Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 shared with our most loyal muscle car customers. Select individuals were offered this exclusive paint option based on their new Dodge Charger and Challenger purchase history and Dodge brand affiliation. This one-of-one paint option will add an extra layer of customization and collectability to the record-breaking Challenger SRT Demon 170, and was made available on a limited basis to those who have meant so much to the latest era of Dodge muscle. The option is no longer being offered."

According to what the spokesperson told Motor1, it seems that the Jailbreak is more of a special paint package for the Demon 170, rather than offering actual performance upgrades. This is similar to the original Challenger and Charger Jailbreak models that arrived for the 2022 model year, which offered numerous unique paint options and special badging for the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody trims. But regardless of what the Jailbreak adds to the Demon 170's already enticing package, we can't see how any of Dodge's exclusive customers would turn down its last, last, last, last special edition for the Challenger.
