Jeep was supposed to bring its Hemi-equipped Wrangler 392 to the chopping block after 2024, but it appears that the automaker has now changed its mind. What you're looking at is the 2025 Wrangler 392 Final Edition, which follows up to last year's final edition model with the same promise––the 6.4 liter Hemi V8 won't be returning to the SUV's engine bay after the end of this year. But, considering that promises aren't taken too seriously at Jeep, perhaps it will.
As for why Jeep has so willingly broken its word, the answer comes in the form of popular demand. Buyers have become enamored with the off-roader's all-powerful 6.4 liter Hemi option, and that makes sense when you consider that as much as 470 horses are sent to the all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the 392 variant and its V8 engine have been part of the Wrangler lineup for several years now, order books for last year's final edition model were overwhelmed enough to warrant a life extension.
For 2025, the Wrangler 392 Final Edition continues to come equipped up to the gills in options, with the vast selection of standard goodies ranging from beefy 35-inch BFGoodrich tires as part of the Xtreme 35 package to heavy-duty rock sliders and a half-inch suspension lift.
With the packed options list and roaring V8 essentially making this the ultimate Wrangler, reserving an allocation won't be cheap. Though pricing hasn't been announced for 2025, last year's final edition began at a whopping $101,890. So if you're interested, get ready to empty that wallet.
