The Corvette's "Great Wall of Buttons," which debuted for the sports car's eighth generation in 2020, could be on its way out. The design feature, which separates the driver and passenger with a long string of various buttons, has caused plenty of controversy, and now it appears that Chevrolet plans to end the debate by getting rid of the wall altogether.

Corvette Blogger claims to have heard the news secondhand, coming from someone who reported overhearing a conversation between Chevrolet engineers at the Corvettes at Carlisle event. While it would be best to take this rumor with a grain of salt, it's been said that the 2024 model year Corvette will be the last to feature the wall of buttons, as Chevrolet is planning revisions to the interior for 2025.

This isn't the first time we heard about Chevrolet's plans to drop the feature, with Motortrend reporting its demise as early as 2021. At the time, the publication claimed an interior overhaul would be coming in 2023, but it's obvious now that this wasn't true. It remains to be seen whether we'll be seeing any changes in 2025, but considering that the C8 Corvette was released back in 2020, this rumor could be onto something.
