The 2021 Kia K5 namely replaces the Optima sedan in the US. It has a fresh, bold look and an all-wheel drive option. The attractive sedan runs on a brand-new N3 platform. It also carries Kia's latest tiger-face front end and a sharp fastback profile. The new sedan is reportedly longer and wider than before. New sweeping LED DRL headlights and the new tiger-grille take over the front, and the back end sees new connected taillights. The silver streak seen along the side and rear windows as seen on the Optima are more noticeable, and define the Optima's unique style.
The interior is also new from the ground up, featuring an 8" touch screen display or an optional 10.25 inch display. A navigation system with real-time traffic info, Bluetooth connectivity, five seats, an available 12-speaker Bose sound system and Kia Drive-Wise safety features are all included inside.
Expect the new K5 sooner rather than later (more like this summer), with the LX, EX, GT-Line, etc. The performance-geared GT is set to arrive in the fall. Pricing isn't available yet, but expect an increase from the Optima's $23,390 MSRP.
