The new MX-30 crossover was revealed in Tokyo, and is coming to Europe, and likely Asia, Australia, and Canada. It sets the theme for more EVs that Mazda could make in the future.
There are very unique design cues on this EV crossover, like the suicide doors that both open up to two, or possibly four seats.
The cute, rounded shape helps the car stand out as Mazda's first EV. Also, it introduces Mazda's key design for its EVs. The smaller grille and cool silver chrome trim is an example. Below are the key features that we know of so far:
- Engine: electric motor with a 35.5 kWh battery with an power output of 105 kW
- Horsepower: 141 hp
- Seating: Up to 4
- Arrival: Europe - Later this year. US: Not yet announced
- Price: $35K
- Range: 209 km (130 mi) - lb-ft of Torque: 195
This is all we know about the MX-30 so far, and it is exciting to see the brand join the EV market.
