The Croatian automaker startup Rimac first introduced their sharp C_Two hypercar in 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show, but that was just the concept version. We have been waiting for years now to see the C_Two that will be sold to customers, but after the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva show, we have been forced to wait even longer. After these frustrating delays, Rimac is finally ready to reveal the C_Two on June 1, and they have released a teaser video.
Rimac has described the production C_Two as coming with "more extreme performance, new official name, immersive features, extraordinary technology, and exceptional engineering in its final form." This means that the hypercar will receive updated performance, as well as more modern technology to stay relevant. But the biggest news from the teaser is that the manufacturer is renaming the C_Two for production.
We will get to know the new nameplate in just a few days at the reveal, and even though a few numbers and letters look interesting sometimes, we are excited that Rimac will be giving it a more sophisticated name. The C_Two prototype packed an electric powertrain, a whopping 1,888 horsepower and 1,696 lb-ft of torque, a decent 404 miles of range, an amazing 0-60 miles-per-hour run of 1.85 seconds, and a top speed of about 256 miles per hour. These figures will only improve with the production C_Two, and we can't wait to see in on June 1.
