Ugh, That Grille!

That is what more and more people say when they see a new car's front end, as more and more cars become grilles on wheels. Some cars literally have grilles that take up what looks like 98% of the car. Here is an example:

Say hello to the Toyota Avalon TRD. You probably think it was recently in an accident, and that its front fascia got teared off, but no. Its as good as new, even though it looks like it wants to eat us. Why do automakers think we want these ugly things? Well, it is because they want an identity, or to be recognized as 'the car brand with big grilles.' It is weird, but it's true. Genesis recently introduced its new G90 flagship sedan with a headlight design that inspires you, and a grille that disgusts you.

And sadly, it will appear on future Genesis models. But, an even bigger issue is about BMW. Its latest generation of the 7 Series sedan has the biggest grille yet. But it is not the biggest grille in the world. It is nothing compared to this:

And this:

Yes, it is real. BMW's upcoming M3 G80 and 4 Series sedans have been leaked in the factory with unbelievable grilles that tell us unfortunately, BMW's future by 2025 will likely have grilles bigger than the Avalon's, which is very concerning. Who would buy those?

Hyundai can also have disturbing grilles here and there.

Lexus's iconic spindle grille seems to be turning away customers, and Lexus will not turn away from it any time soon. Even their spacecraft concept, which was used in a sci-fi movie, has the revolting grille:

Tesla Models X's, Ford Mustang Mach E's and other cars with almost no grilles make Lexus vehicles look old and ugly.

Even though the automotive world is full of huge and disgusting grilles, look at the bright side. At least we have Tesla around!
